During my trip to Los Angeles I visited the Comedy Store twice as I’m a huge stand up comedy fan. I regularly listen to Joe Rogan’s podcasts and had to seize the opportunity to watch him perform his hilarious stand up.

I used some of the photoshop tricks I had learned in the workshop with Plastic Jesus to edit a photo of I found of Joe and then used my other developed photoshop skills to make some fan art of him. Joe discusses psychedelic and spiritual drug use quite a bit in his podcasts and is an advocate of their use within a conscious environment. For this reason I used the influence of 60’s and 70’s posters as inspiration for the style of this image.

Although this was purely for my own personal development it made think about collaborating in the future with other artists who perform within the creative industry on posters, covers and other forms of marketing media.
